Ok so /dev/sda2 is the correct device holding the VolGroup01.
Looking at your latest capture.doc I see this:
Command line: ro root=/dev/vg00/lv01 console=hvc0 earlyprintk=xen nomodeset initcall_debug debug swiotlb=force apic=debug loglevel=10
So your root= parameter is wrong! Edit grub.conf and replace it with the actual root device: root=/dev/VolGroup01/LogVol00
