Sure, but Ian was talking about the backend - whether they were using:
disk = ['phy:/dev/vg/test,xvda,w']
or
disk=['file:/test.img,xvda,w']
The first uses the kernel blkback while the later uses the QEMU qdisk which is
not very fast.
