Re: [Xen-users] What does IP 0.0.0.0 mean?

Quoting Tom and Chris in one reply.

The classic RTFM mentality has got to go, I agree.

Exactly.

Christopher, this list reaches thousands of people, some of them may be
inclined to help. I'm sorry that some posts don't fit in your
categorized world so neatly, that's why your mail client has a delete
button.

You didn't give him any help besides (very bluntly) telling him you
thought he was asking the wrong list.

His issue could very well be xen hotplug related.

Something else is irritating you, which makes everything irritate you.
Perhaps switch to a 'kinder, gentler' coffee?

As a frequenter of many lists, I agree that the novice public at large
needs a swift kick in the man page. If you drive a car, you should know
how to check the oil, change a tire, fill up the tank.. maybe a little
more if you want to be more hands on.

Owning a computer is the same thing, and many people have gotten
themselves up to speed.

Owning a virtualized computer using a technology that is distributed
with limited at best documentation and a text only CLI with lots of
distro specific packaging bugs , or, needing to be built from a cloned
mercurial repository after installing all needed dependencies .. takes a
bit of work before one's head fully wraps around it.

Please be patient with people who are coming for help (already)
frustrated. :)

Best,
--Tim
