OK, Pasi
I tuned minicom , now it's accepting data from Xen Serial Console just nice.
Still nothing from vanilla kernel 2.6.31-rc8.
I believe kernel has been built improperly. It doesn't send data to /dev/ttyS0.

Boris.

kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.31-rc8 ro root=/dev/sdc2 console=ttyS0,9600

That should definitely work for baremetal kernel. Does your kernel have
serial support built-in?

Are you sure your serial port settings on the other computer are ok?
Try using "minicom" and playing with the different flow control
settings... (no flow control / hardware flowcontrol / xon, xoff)
