I'm not saying keep the nfs root, I'm saying boot the HVM with an empty
block device attached to it FROM the PV guests file system using a nfs
root, format your HVM's block device, copy, done.

Take the nfsroot out of the configuration after that.

I have the same question Mats does, why would you want to do it in the
first place?
