When I changed from hda1.. I see 768 VBD error.
May be that's what I had before.

Regarding 768,
I had an incorrect disk='...' entry.
Other small behavioral change is that now an "Untitled" window shows up
and then I see above mentioned error..
I will try this suggestion.

Just noticed something:
disk =
['file:/root/xenimages/hd.img,ioemu:hda1,w',
'file:/root/xenimages/XP.iso,hde:cdrom,r']
You can't export devices as partitions for HVM guests; you need to
change the
hda1 to an hda...
Have you tried that?
