Do you use bash ? sh must be a link to bash and not dash
$ ls -ltr /bin/sh
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 2006-07-12 09:59 /bin/sh -> bash

Anything of interest in the xen-hotpulg log? I also don't think you want
to name your dom-u's vif 'blah', that was just an example :) try ..
vifvm5.0 or similar.
