2007/1/2, Mark Williamson <mark.williamson@xxxxxxxxxxxx>:

That's the e1000, right?

Yes It's.

There have been various versions of the e1000, I
think and this has caused some point driver issues - with some needed to
compile a new version of the driver from source.

I use gentoo so I compile the last version of kernel.

I've used a relatively old e1000 under Xen without issues. Basically most
NICs ought to work fine with Xen if they work under Linux, but it's worth
searching the list archives for any card you're considering buying, just to
see if anybody has had issues.

On e1000 I found in list differents threads with differents issues.
I have bougth a Dell box with broadcom tg3 :-/
(http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2006-12/msg00958.html)
I'm looking for a nic to patch the problem.
