that's what i needed to know.

so how do i upgrade my kernel? The one that comes with Xen is 2.6.18-xen
and that's from doing a make world.

since the kernel is older the one that came with my system (desbian 5.0) i
would like to upgrade it.

doing a google search on the subject does not return much of how to upgrade
a kernel from 2.6.18.

linux-2.6.18-xen is the official tested/supported dom0 kernel for Xen 3.4.x.

There are forward-ported patches for some newer kernels, but those are not
'official'.
