After 30 days nothing happens except you are annoyed to death with the window. The biggest "glitch" with xencenter is that the performance tab doesnt work.

Kind Regards,

Mark, Thanks. I'll give XenCenter a try.

It's Windows-only, and I'm still in my first few days with XCP as well, but the XenCenter client seems to be the ultimate GUI for XCP.  My last issue with it is in trying to determine what happens after 30 days, as XenCenter is showing a warning that my XCP hosts need licensing (of course, they shouldn't).  If you try it, just remember to create /etc/xensource/xapi_version_override with the single line "5.6.100", and install the Citrix version of the guest utils so version numbers match up.

Mark

Thanks for the link. I'm still wanting to hear from anyone who is using "Virtual Machine Manager" with XCP. I did get XenWebManager installed on a Fedora15 client and connected to my host, but some of the functions return errors. I can view the consoles of the running virtual machines, and I can suspend, but not restart VMs. and I'm not able to do Snapshots from within the app. This is most likely a permissions issue. The error message at the bottom of the screen says "error on_btremoveinterface_clicked " Google returned no hits for this error, so any help is appreciated. The documentation on this app is somewhat scant.

Hi,

I am a newb to XCP and somewhat to Linux. I set up XCP on a test machine and used xe to configure a couple of VMs. The VMs are working fine but if I deploy XCP with only xe to manage machines, the others here will want my head on a plate.  I set up a Fedora client on a different machine and installed Virtual Machine Manager. When trying to connect via SSH, I get an error that says "Unable to open a connection to the libvirt management daemon."

I looked through the XCP setup and management guides and didn't see anything mentioned about starting daemons for remote management. Is anyone doing this successfully?

Thanks
