I wrote:

Is there anyone have a domU with routed networking functioning
correctly and willing to share their configuration file with me?

I must be doing something wrong, but I just can't see what it is.
Comparing with a known functioning configuration would be very
helpful.

The silence so far suggests that perhaps it just doesn't work :(

Here's what I have:

  a CentOS 5.1 dom0
  an installed fully virtual domU running CentOS 5.1
  routed networking configured in /etc/xen/xen-config.sxp
  vif = [ 'ip=a.b.c.d, vifname=veth1' ] in the domU config file

The domU boots quite happily, but refuses to set up the network on eth0,
reporting "8139cp device does not seem to be present".

According to "ip addr" veth1 is configured and there's a host route for
the ip address in the routing tables on dom0.

No-one has any ideas? Or do I give up on Xen and/or CentOS5.1 and find
an alternative solution?

James
