- one could have a look if bridging works with pure linux without xen

yes you're right - why bother ^^

but I will need 3 NICs for my firewall (LAN, DMZ and INET) and this Dell PowerEdge 2900 only got 2 PCI slots. I will have to by a 4 port Intel nic :(
