The difference is, that I have not  the bridge=xenbrX on the vif-line. I 
think, I am missing something at another place in Xen, because my ipcop 
cannot start with bridge=xenbrX .

Can you tell, what drivers the ipcop in domU are seeing / using for its 
2 ethernet-cards (maybe the values in /var/ipcop/ethernet/settings)?
