Hopefully this is an easy one, but I searched for a couple of days and
can't seem to find the answer. Please feel free to berate me; just
don't forget to include an answer!
I have been working on a GNBD live migration setup for quite some time
now. I went with Fedora Core 6 as the Dom0. For the life of me, I
can't figure out how to get GNDB installed on FC6. I can see that is is
included in earlier FC releases.
In the release notes, it actually says verbatim "Removed package gnbd."
I can't imagine that this package would have been removed if the
functionality weren't included somewhere else. I tried to "yum install
gnbd," and there is no such package
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Nate
Oh, I can imagine it being removed. There are huge numbers of different
network storage projects going on, and unless you can support htem well
yourself, or choose to support it in a specific OS, it can be a huge
timesink and support drain. It's certainly in the RedHat 5 beta2. You
might look there for a buildable SRPM.
