Hi,

I've had a look through the list archives and can't find any relevant (64bit) posts. My 64 bit Xen install is only showing 3194MB of the 4x1GB RAM installed. The BIOS shows all 4GB on boot. It's an Intel Desktop board (I forget the model and don't currently have physical access) with a hyper threading Pentium 4 CPU. Any ideas or explanations would be most welcome.

Thanks,

Simon

Most likely scenario is that your motherboard/chipset/BIOS doesn't
suport "memory hoisting", which is when memory covered by PCI devices is
remapped above 4G - or perhaps you haven't selected that option in the
BIOS?

Thank you Mats. Obvious really once pointed out ;-) I'm positive that you pin-pointed the reason. I'll double check the BIOS settings when I next get a chance.

Simon
