Ya that worked :) Thanks!

But however the domU shows a blocked state on doing a 'xm list'

Name                              ID Mem(MiB) VCPUs State  Time(s)
Domain-                           0      256     2 r-----    71.0
vm1                                  7      128     2 -b----    16.6

You need to fix your inittab before booting the xen domU.

/mnt/domu/etc/inittab:
1:2345:respawn:/sbin/getty 38400 console

and comment the other 1-6 out. Now you've got yourself a console and booting should work.

greetings

ooppss..!! posted the wrong fstab!

The one for this domain is:

/dev/hda1               /               ext3    defaults        1       2
/dev/hda2               none            swap    sw            0       0
/dev/pts                devpts          gid=5,mode=620    0       0
none                    /dev/shm        tmpfs   defaults     0       0

The one the previous post is the dom0 one!

I successfully installed xen3.0 on my machines. However there are a few problems when I try to create a new domain!

The procedure I've followed is pretty much the same as given on pages 4-5 on;

On doing a ' xm create -c /etc/xen/vm1-config.sxp vmid=1' the following is what parts of the trace look like:
