Something must be wrong in your configuration.

I'm running Xen 3.0 under Ubuntu 5.10 on my P4 2.6 GHz desktop with 2.5
Gb RAM. This system is running 3 domU's, plus all my desktop apps in
dom0 (Gnome, Evolution, Firefox, Gaim, XMMS, terminals). I don't notice
any performance degradation comparing running under Xen versus booting
native Linux 2.6 Kernel.

$ glxgears -printfps
5792 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1158.346 FPS
5790 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1157.878 FPS
5791 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1158.187 FPS
5768 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1153.571 FPS

I'm compiled xen 3.0.0 from source I received from xensource.com.  I use
the combined kernel, not separate dom0/domU kernels, because I wanted
all the device drivers, especially XFS.
