Sorry, I don't understand your reasoning for this, this would
deliberately make Emacs use spaces instead of tabs. The idea is to use
tabs as much as possible. So if anything indent-tabs-mode should be set
to true IMHO. Otherwise we just go back and increase the file size by
15%.
