Hi,

Yes, I use serial console.
I used the following command.
=============
image=xen-3.0-devel.gz
        label=xen
        initrd=vmlinux-2.6.12-xen0xen
        read-only
        append="sched=bvt com1=115200,8n1,0x2f8,45 -- nomca nosmp rhgb 
root=/dev/sda3 init=/bin/sh"
=============

I think the cause of not complete booting is that there are not files of /dev 
and etc. 
I tried to do Tony's way (by using rescueCD) and I couldn't boot.
I also think that  there are some the solution.
But I consider that we need to use initrd.

So at first I wil see Fred's patch and elilo souce.
