Thread-topic: Changeset 18359 can hang Xen?

I had a report of similar nastiness *without* that changeset. 18359
apparently fixed it, although I must say I wasn't convinced since I can't
explain why it would alter behaviour.

Suffice to say there is apparently some nastiness around that
time_rendezvous functionality, and we could really do with some root-cause
analysis from someone who's reproduced this issue.
