Paul,

I downloaded it a few days ago through a cable modem connection with no problem
at all.

The file size is:
-rw-r--r--  1 flavio users 603226112 May 29 17:40 xendemo-1.2.iso

I burnt it with cdrecord (under linux) and booted a box from it successfully.

Perhaps you have a problem with the box that downloads it or the web browser.
Try using wget under linux.
