This is still a problem as of 2008/8/8:
 * Ubuntu 8.4.1 Hardy Heron
 * Xen 3.2.0
 * Dom0 & DomU kernel: 2.6.24-19-xen #1 SMP Sat Jul 12 00:15:59 UTC 2008 x86_64
GNU/Linux
The workaround for this is to change your setup not to save/restore, but to
instead reboot.
In Ubuntu, this in done by altering dom0:/etc/defaults/xendomains and changing
the value of XENDOMAINS_SAVE to the empty string.
