[Xen-bugs] [Bug 690] Dom0: BUG: soft lockup detected on CPU#0!
http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=690
------- Comment #1 from mangoo@xxxxxxxx 2007-02-08 01:57 -------
I have a similar issue in dom0, running Xen 3.0.4 (installed from sources).
dom0 was not running any guest domain.
In fact, xend was even not running (I execute "/etc/init.d/xend start" manually
when I want to run Xen).
I removed about 20 rpm packages when this happened (rpm -e package1 package2
...).
The system was not responsive anymore - I couldn't switch between consoles
(ctrl + alt + F1 etc.). Magic SysRq keys were still working, and the system was
still responding to pings (I couldn't log in via SSH though).
This is what I grabbed from the screen, it can contain typos:
BUG: soft lockup detected on CPU#0!
Pid: 11, comm: kblockd/0
EIP: 0061:[<c0101227>] CPU: 0
EIP is at 0xc0101227
EFLAGS: 00000246 Not tainted (2.6.16.33-xen #3)
EAX: 00030000 EBX: 00000000 ECX: 00000000 EDX: 00000000
If someone needs a full log, I can trigger the bug once again.
