Re: [Xen-users] reg REMUS

Hi All,             I have problem encounterd while installing xen4.0.2 by source (i.e by using xen4.0.2.tar.gz). I hereby specify the list of command i have executed..
    (i) cd xen4.0.2   (ii) make world
  (iii) make install   (iv) make dist   (v)  make linux-2.6-xen-config CONFIGMODE=menuconfig     (vi)  make linux-2.6-xen-build    (vii) make linux-2.6-xen-install      depmod 2.6.18.8-xen       mkinitrd -v initrd-2.6.18.8-xen.img 2.6.18.8-xen
An image with name initrd-2.6.18.8-xen.img is available in the source folder. I have also got vmlinuz-2.6.18.8-xen on location /boot. I have edited grub.conf as follows
title Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server (2.6.18-53.el5)
root (hd0,1)         kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.18-53.el5 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet         initrd /initrd-2.6.18-53.el5.img

  title Xen4 (2.6.18.8)         root (hd0,1)         kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.18.8-xen ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet
        initrd /initrd-2.6.18.8-xen.img

Kindly help me in this regard.

The debian distro (squeeze 6.0) 's xen-4.1 has parts of remus (the python code) while other
vital parts are missing. Also, I dont think its upto date either. There were critical show stopper patches that went in after squeeze release.

Did you install from source? I think the debian packages might not
come with REMUS at this point.
