PXE boot install of XCP is possible see:
http://docs.vmd.citrix.com/XenServer/5.6.0fp1/1.0/en_gb/installation.html#pxe_boot_install

Chef and Puppet are the way to go. The crowbar project and the chef
cookbooks/recipes around OpenStack/XCP are still in the early stages
of evolving.

XCP on Ubuntu and more OpenStack support is in the works currently
