Try checking from /proc/interrupts or from lspci.
Is it a shared IRQ (multiple devices using the same IRQ)?
IRQ 22 is being shared between the SATA controller and a NIC.
Both /proc/interrupts and lspci are posted below, I should have
mentioned as much in my first message.
