Hi!

Wouldn't be good to have the root file system of the XCP installed on a tiny SSD (disk on chip) of 2G as /dev/sda and export, for example, two discs (sdb and sdc) of 1T via iSCSI targets?

I'm expecting the XCP dom0 with support for acting as a iSCSI targets, AoE servers and most important, software RAID available at the installation process.

Cheers!
Thiago

Hi,

Vern is right -- XCP is supposed to be a minimal 'platform', optimized for hosting VMs. In the long term we hope to shrink dom0 and put lots more stuff into helper VMs.

Could you explain what you need the iscsi target for? One possibility is to put the iscsi target into a VM.

Dave
