I have a Windows 2008 VMWare 2.0 VM built using IDE with a flat file. I ran the following command to convert it to an image file: qemu-img convert 2008server-flat.vmdk 2008server.img When I try and boot off the img file in xen I get a missing operating system. I have not tried to boot off the 2008 cd to see if I could repair it, but that's my next step. I've using this process to convert win2k and win2k3 machines, but this is my first attempt at 2008.
