The Citrix drivers come with the various versions Citrix XenServer.
Moreover, they only work for said Citrix XenServer, not open source Xen.
There is a free version of the Citrix XenServer, but when I looked at it, it
only supported 1 (one) cpu/core (total), and no more than 4 domUs.

Where can I get  Citrix drivers for XEN?

We use the Citrix drivers on XenServer in production and the performance is
very, very good. Equal CPU performance for single CPU, but much better than

GPLPV for multi CPU. Network and disk performance is better than GPLPV in
all cases. And most importantly, they never, ever crash.

Xen.org HVM DomUs would probably be equally production-ready
barring Windows drivers, though, and on top of that I believe some
users do use GPLPV drivers in production in spite of best practice
concerns and downtime risk. I am not sure how great HVM domUs would
be for DB service in general, though. Without drivers it would
certainly be costly in terms of performance. With drivers, I
believe the GPLPV drivers perform better that the Citrix ones to
such an extent that some Citrix users have tried to use them (which
may or may not be possible but that would have to be verified in
this list's archives). Dustin

Xen and Windows is not production ready (PV drivers are still beta
and in development). However the commerical varient Citrix
XenServer is production ready.

Hello!
I'm wondering about using windows 2003 for MSSQL replication. Is someone
using win server on xen in production? What is experience of using this?
Is it production ready?
