You should create one by e.g.
mkinitramfs -o /boot/initrd.img-`uname -r` `uname -r`
Replace `uname -r` by the kernel version you want to create an initrd
for,
if you're currently not running this kernel.
On debian it might be mkinitrd ,but its usage is similar.
