This was exactly my problem when trying to run Windows on Xen. I was expecting some kind of graphical console, showing the windows installation program, or
something, but I was told I needed VNC.

I got it working with VNC, and solved the freezing console issue, but the
performance was really poor.

Is this the way of displaying Windows on Xen, via VNC?

Tell me if you find another solution.

behavior here. What am I supposed to see... A login prompt?? Any
advice on what to do next would be great.
