I'm running Xen on RHEL5. Currently Xen 3.1 from xensource rpms, but the problem existed on the previous 3.0.3 version of Xen.

The issue does not appear to exist on a debian/etc Xen 3.1 installation.

The problem: When VNC is used to present the console for HVM VMs, whether the vncviewer is on my windows desktop or displayed on my desktop via X from a vncviewer on the xen dom0, the virtual mouse cursor and a small square appear in the window. There is a varying distance between the small square which seems to be the real mouse cursor as it becomes the windows mouse as soon as it leaves the VNC window. Since the two 'cursors' aren't overlayed and change distance and relationship, it is really difficult to drive a window based screen.

Does anyone know what package needs to be updated to fix this?

Thanks,

Hi,

Is there a reason not to use remote desktop instead of VNC ?
I find it more convenient in many ways.
