It seems if i use info instead of debug with log, the entry gets written to /var/log/messages. However i would still like to know where does it get written to when log debug is used. Also i see this: Feb 7 15:17:56 xen net.agent[29524]: remove event not handled Feb 7 15:17:56 xen net.agent[29500]: remove event not handled Feb 7 15:17:56 xen logger: /etc/xen/scripts/vif-route-xencp: ifdown vif13.0 Feb 7 15:17:56 xen logger: /etc/xen/scripts/vif-route-xencp: /etc/xen/scripts/vif-route-xencp failed; error detected. Is this normal ? This seems to be related to part of my post itself, using the ifdown vif13.0 returns error. Also the error from net.agent about remove event not handled.
