As far as new CPUs release dates, I
suggest that you check in intel.com web site, there is usually abundance of
information there that might answer your question.

Speaking of that, are there any release dates published for them new intel
CPUs?

Even I would guess the same, But there might be VMware users who are trying out
xen for the first time and that too starting with xen 3.0, who can get confused
with the .vmx configuration file.
Lets see what Naoh replies, If he is using the new cpus, then it would be
interesting to look into this issue.
