Oops, I forgot something important. (As I said I don't understand
the format completely yet.) It seems that under some (all?)
circumstances, Xen eats the first parameter.
If the append= line in the previous message doesn't work, try:
append="ignoreme com1=115200,8n1,0xff5e0000,9 -- console=ttyS0...
