Thanks.  No idea how that kernel was doing anything useful on a 3.4.2
Xen though, unless you'd also patched it?

A new build from stable-2.6.32.x does boot on 3.4.3-rc6, so presumably whatever was the problem is fixed in the latest kernel patches. It does boot on 3.4.2 (the standard Fedora 13 package) though I didn't try anything other than booting it.
