 its beginning to look like it might be easier to just build everything 
from raw bits and reinstall xen anytime I do an update via emerge.
 
 I haven't looked at the submitted ebuild, but I just upgraded my gentoo 
box from 2.0.1 to 2.0.2 using an ebuild I made myself.  It's really very 
straightforward, granting that I'm building my own kernels and not 
letting emerge manage that for me.
