In EXACTLY the same way you would do if it was a 'real' machine running on it's own box. If you'd use static configs for real boxes then do that for your virtual boxes, if you'd use DHCP then configure a DHCP client on the virtual boxes.

As far as the guests are concerned, the networking is no different to being a standalone real box plugged into the relevant network switch.
