Hi,

I am sorry for confusion. I only mean to say that my system doesnot support VT. but still when i boot xen into to it, it gives me mentioned error. my understanding is that section of code belongs to HVM only ( VT based Xen). My machine and linux is intel pentium 4, RHEL4.

Is this the case that during boot time, xen is looking for VT based machine by default ? Do i need to configure xen to omit looking for VT support.

thanks in advance

hi,
what do u mean once you say trying to boot xen 3.0.3 on a paravirtualized system? I mean are you trying to run xen on top of xen?
Can you be more specific on the details of your machine? its make, the linux systems etc?

Best Regards,
Muhammad Atif

Subject: [Xen-users] boot time error

Hi ,

I am trying to boot xen-3.0.3 on a paravirtualized system. I am getting following BOOT time error ( it seems to be for VT-enabled machine, surprisingly ?). Yes, i have checked BIOS - there is no option for VT enable or disable. Any help is greatly appreciated.
