  • Thread-topic: warning to anyone trying the wdm branch of the gpl pv drivers

Just a warning to anyone who is trying the gpl pv drivers from the hg
wdm branch, eg only if you've built them yourself as I haven't yet
released a binary of that version.

I'm getting BSoD's on the windows DomU which are hanging my Dom0 for
somewhere between 5-10 minutes with a "BUG: soft lockup detected on
CPU#0!". I'm pretty sure that the problem has been introduced by changes
I have made that I haven't checked in yet, but I'm not sure so maybe
don't do any testing on a production Dom0 at this point :)

Can anyone give me any clues as to what DomU behaviour could cause Dom0
to do this? The full text of the bug check is:

"

And it happens at the point when the DomU bluescreens.
