Re: [Xen-users] how to install a vm from iso or cdrom

Hi all,
Running fedora14 with xen-4.1.1 and linux-3.0.0-rc3.
I'm trying to install XP into a domU and have tried all the recipes I
could find on google and haven't had any success so far. Available
resources are the install CD, copy of the CD as an iso, and a loopback
mounted copy of the iso as /dev/loop0.
builder="hvm"
kernel = "/usr/lib/xen/boot/hvmloader"
memory = 256
name = "vm8" ### xp pro sp2 ###
vif = [ 'mac=00:16:3e:08:22:01, bridge=DMZ' ]
disk = [ 'phy:/dev/OneTB/vm8,xvda1,w' ,
'phy:/dev/loop0, hda:cdrom, r' ] <-------------------
disk = [ 'file:/etc/xen/boot/WinXP-Pro-sp2.iso,xvdb:cdrom,r' ]
vfb = [ 'vnc=1' ]
I alway error with:
libxl: error: libxl.c:946:libxl_device_disk_add Invalid or unsupported
virtual disk identifier hda
cannot add disk 1 to domain: -6
libxl: error: libxl_dm.c:747:libxl__destroy_device_model Couldn't find
device model's pid: No such file or directory
libxl: error: libxl.c:738:libxl_domain_destroy
libxl__destroy_device_model failed for 24
Any helpers out there?
Thanks,
Mike Wright
