Hyper-threaded logical CPUs are not as powerful as adding more real CPU
cores, but they are definitely faster than not having them.  For example, a
server that supports hyper-threading will be capable of doing more
virtualized work with hyper-threading enabled than with it disabled.  It is
definitely helpful to use hyper-threading if your budget allows.
