You can try. As others have posted on this list (search the archive),
64bit seems to be more stable on Lenny. Although James Harper noted
that PV drivers might not work for 32-on-64 since the necessary
support is added past Xen 3.2.

If you're just looking for a stable production environment, I highly
recommend RHEL/Centos5.5.
