I wouldn't blame XCP.  Depending on the method you used, the BSD disk
layout would screw up not just the XCP installer, but many linuxen too
(remember, XCP is just a nifty appliance built on CentOS).

My experience is to expect unpredictable results when re-purposing a disk
from one OS to the other -especially the 'interesting' ones like FreeBSD
and Solaris :-)

I'm glad it worked out in the end.
