Hi Boris,
Thanks for your reply. I tried it again but still got a slow download speed though I have a 100MBit/sec connection. I think the root cause is the limitation of the inbound bandwidth in China. So would you please send me a copy of xen.git archive via email (superymkxen@xxxxxxxxxxx)? I can update it in the future for the traffic is much smaller than checking out the whole bulk.

Thanks,
Miao

is running on my box via 2MBit/sec ADSL connection with average speed 1.0-1.2 MBit/sec.

Thank you for your suggestion. I am trying again now. But I find that it is very slow to check out a private shadow from both http://www.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jeremy/xen.git   and    git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jeremy/xen.git. The speed is even less than 0.5K/s. Is there any workaround way for this?

Thanks,
Miao

1. Try to  turn your South Bridge (ICH10R most probably) into AHCI mode.
Lines above would better to report :-
   [    2.930145] scsi0 :  ahci
    [    2.930263] scsi1 :  ahci

but, not necessary.

2. Install  2.6.31.1 pvops  kernel via JF's Git Repo as Dom0 kernel.
The most recent build guide lines:-
      http://www.linuxtoday.com/high_performance/2009100500135OSSV
Just DRM activation is up to you.

I would not hesitate (in case of failure configuration above) to  escalate issue to xen-devel mailing list.
2.6.31.1  install is a must if you want professional support@xen-devel.
Xenified aka Suse 2.6.30.2 won't be a fair , sorry.
Next official Xen release is supposed to have JF's pvops kernel 2.6.3(x).y  to support Xen at  Dom0

Hi,

I tried to build xen 3.4.1 and the xenified kernel (use the full 2.6.30.2 kernel and patched it manually) on my optiplex 960 box according to the Bderzhavets’s Building Xen 3.4.1 Dom0 via xenified 2.6.30.2 kernel on top Ubuntu 9.04 Server. However, the screen turns black without any response after displaying some [OK] from Dom0. Anyone knows how to resolve this problem? Or tell me any other way to build xen 3.3.1 above including Dom0 kernel for I need to modify the source files for my private experiment. Any suggestion is warmly welcomed.

Thanks!
