Thread-topic: [Xen-users] Error while compiling Xen
Hi,
I have set the proxy for the system. Infact I am able to access internet from
the system.
I have made the necessary network connection settings in mozilla firefox.
Still I find the below error.

select-repository: Searching `.:..' for linux-2.6.18-xen.hg
select-repository: Ignoring `.'
Unable to determine path to Linux source tree.
Falling back to linux-2.6.18-xen Mercurial repository.
Cloning http://xenbits.xensource.com/linux-2.6.18-xen.hg to linux-2.6.18-xen.hg.
abort: error: Connection timed out
make[2]: *** [linux-2.6.18-xen.hg/.valid-src] Error 255
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/xen-3.3.1'
make[1]: *** [linux-2.6-xen-install] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/xen-3.3.1'
make: *** [install-kernels] Error 1

Regards
Ananth

perform following step manually at one ditectory up from Xen source code.
hg clone http://xenbits.xensource.com/linux-2.6.18-xen.hg

If same problem then,
mostly i think machine is behind proxy server if yes export proxy
server address first.
