I have setup a Dual Pentium III server (4 GB RAM) with CentOS 5.2 32Bit and Xen 3.03. Now I have a weird phenomenon:

I have 2 virtual machines running, using 1.25 GB of RAM together. xm list shows dom0 using 2.2 GB. I cannot start another virtual machine; if I try, I get the error:

ERROR Out of memory: xc_dom_boot_mem_init: can't allocate low memory for domain

I do not have this phenomenon with CentOS 32 Bit and Xen 3.03 on other machines (mostly xeon processors without hardware virtualization).

Is this a known problem on this old platform? Is there some configuration that can be used to work around it?

Thanks for any hint or help.

Dirk
