Re: [Xen-users] How to use an existing image

Hello, I have tried doing that with Windows 2000 Server and it failed every single time. I tried just about everything from registry modifications to repairing using the CD. Windows 2003 Server worked perfectly right away. I haven't tried Windows 2008 but if we suppose Microsoft improves, it should work but that's not so sure.
Can you post your configuration so we can look ? Do you get blue screen ? Does it not recognize the DVD and HD ? Antoine On Sat, Jul 26, 2008 at 11:36 AM, Venefax <venefax@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
 Question:
I need to reuse a 50 GB image with Windows 2008 installed. But when I create
a new XEN machine and boot, it fails. I imagined that, and that is why I
also have the Windows DVD attached, but it never boots from it. How can I
reuse my image? I also set up the Windows CD as first unit, hoping that it
would boot from it, but I get the same error.
The image comes from VirtualBox, but I can also use Acronis and export the
image to a flat file.
Yours
