Looks to me like the machine is booting OK but just not displaying the login 
prompt on the virtual serial line for some reason.

Can you ssh in?
Can you ping it?
Can you connect to the guest's framebuffer console?

You could try adding:

extra = "xencons=tty" and see if that helps.
