Hello List,

I am trying to build Xen 3.2.1 with the linux-2.6.18-xen-3.2.0.tar.gz downloaded from http://xen.org/download/. Do I need to install mecurial to get this to work? I thought the trick was to have the kernel in a directory at the same level as the xen source but it always fails with:

for i in  linux-2.6-xen  ; do make $i-install || exit 1; done
make[2]: Entering directory `/var/xen/xen-3.2.1'
make -f buildconfigs/mk.linux-2.6-xen build

set -e ; \
        if [ ! -e linux-2.6.18-xen.hg/.hg ] ; then \
__repo=$(sh buildconfigs/select-repository linux-2.6.18-xen.hg .:..) ; \
            if [ -d ${__repo} ] ; then \
                echo "Linking ${__repo} to linux-2.6.18-xen.hg." ; \
                ln -s ${__repo} linux-2.6.18-xen.hg ; \
            else \
                echo "Cloning ${__repo} to linux-2.6.18-xen.hg." ; \

            hg -R linux-2.6.18-xen.hg pull ${__parent} ; \

It's looking for the kernel downloaded from the mercurial repository which I didn't download. Is the only way to build 3.2.1 is to install mercurial and if so, what is the linux-2.6.18-xen-3.2.0.tar.gz file for?

Thanks for any help,

Jon
